While we didn't get anymore snow today, it was still bitterly cold. I had to scrape of my car before heading to work this morning, and after only 7 or 8 minutes outside my hands were frozen even with my gloves. It was several hours before they were properly thawed. On the bright side, the sun was out and I was able to find some nice shots just a few feet from my door. Today I played with my 50mm lens that is fully manual; I have to set the focus and the aperture. It was a nice change because I don't generally think too much about the aperture. Closing it up gave me the nice sun-star in the first photo. The second one should give a decent idea of how much snow we got yesterday; in some places it drifted to well over a foot.
